Experience the New Year in a way you'll never forget. The Chiangmai CAD New Year Countdown 2027 invites you to Chiang Mai – for a unique celebration filled with light, emotion, and shared hope.
Organized by the experienced and creative team at Chiang Mai Arts & Design (CAD), this event builds on the great success of the legendary Yi Peng Festivals, but deliberately goes a step further: While Yi Peng is known above all for its calm, spiritual atmosphere, the New Year Countdown focuses on a spectacular, large-scale fireworks display – powerful, captivating and perfectly timed to the moment of the turn of the year.
As the old year ends, we let go together: worries, doubts, and everything that can remain behind. With glowing lanterns, we send our wishes for the new year up into the sky…
